About the Prize

I’m giving away 2 adesign Travel Sets, which comes in a sturdy magnet-closure black carrying case and include four brushes each:

  • Powder (I use this for regular powder)
  • Cheek (I use this for blush)
  • Pointed Foundation (I use this for concealer)
  • Medium Concealer (I use this for eyeshadow)

The bristles are a combo of natural and syntietic hair fibers and are beautifully shaped. They feel great against my face, and they have never irritated my sensitive skin.

The Contest

  1. Leave a comment on this post sharing whether you use your fingers or brushes only to apply your makeup between now and Monday, October 20, 2008, at 11:59 p.m. ET.
  2. Wait patiently until I October 21, when I announce the winner.

The Rules

  1. Anyone can enter, but only those who follow the directions will be eligible to win. “Give them to me!” does not count.
  2. One entry per person. I do check IP addresses and weed out duplicates, so no cheating.
  3. The winner will be chosen randomly using the sequence generator at Random.org and all decisions will be final.

    Hi I use my finger personally and the only reason is Im lost when it comes to buying brushes. I can never tell one from another. I’d love to finally figure it out though:) Thanks

    I use ONE cheap brush I got years ago from Target. I use it for powder and blush, and bronzer. I wash it every once in a while, but probably not quite enough. I only use my fingers in one eyeshadow that is the potted wet-to-dry stuff because it doesn’t spread well on a Q-tip!

    Most of the time when applying my makeup, I use my fingers and brushes. I apply my foundation with my fingers/sponge and use brushes for my powder and blusher. Please enter me in your wonderful giveaway drawing. Many thanks, Cindi

    For foundation powder, eyeliner and bronzer I use a brush but for eyeshadow and concealer I usually just use my fingers.

    I’m afraid I do use my fingers. I use a brush for the blush only.

    I use brushes to apply my makeup, mainly because if I use my fingers it always comes out streaky.

    I use my fingers, qtips, tissues, brushes from old products…whatever I can get my hands on. Sad, but true.

    I usually use my fingers for concealer, I use the little brush that comes w/ the eye shadow for that, and this clunky brush from Walmart for my powder and blush. I would love this set!

    I use brushes, but when i hit a particularly stubborn part of clumped colors, nothing beats my fingers to blend them down =)

    I use a combination of fingers, brushes, and sponges. I’m always on the hunt for a good eyebrow brush!

    I apply foundation with my fingers and then I apply my blush with a brush but follow it up by smoothing that out with my fingers so I guess I mix it all up by using both.

    I use my fingers because I always think that if you use the little applicators or brushes they give you that they will collect germs and keep growing! That probably wouldn’t happen with nice professional brushes so I would love to win!

    I currently use my fingers to apply makeup, sometimes a Q-tip. Not sure if this is the best method!

    I use both—if I use cream eye shadow, I usually use a finger. Usually will use a brush with powder shadow.
