Women’s Health Giveaway: Nalgene Bottle and Brita Faucet Filtration System

by Kristen King on April 23rd, 2008

The other week, I mentioned that I had been contacted by Filter for Good, who offered me some freebies for Lively Women readers. Well, I’m delighted to announce that they were extremely generous, and have given me several faucet filters and water bottles to share with readers. They originally provided one set for me and two for you guys, but I’m going to take one for the team and give away all three sets in honor of Earth Day.

Here are the details:

So, to recap:

  • Leave a comment on this post. You have until 11:59 p.m. Eastern on May 9, 2008.
  • I will do a random drawing and announce the winner on May 12.
  • You can comment about anything you want!

Good luck!

Ooh, ooh, ooh! *jumps up and down and raises hand excitedly* I want the Nalgene Bottle and Brita Faucet Filtration System set!!

My official comment: That stripy shirt is kickin’ like a ninja. I love it!

Also, how cool that you’re willing to do a giveaway of even your own set? That is awesome. Now I’ll take one for the team and retweet your blog post so others have a chance to snatch the prize from my hot little hands.

Isn’t Nalgene the brand with the toxic bottles, or was that another? I have heard that name in the news lately. I would love the water pitcher, almost bought one the other day!

@Diane - Couldn’t tell ya. I’ve been using Nalgene bottles for years and I’m still here, though, so…

The Brita is a faucet filtration system, not a pitcher, so it just screws right onto your faucet! It’s super handy. That way you have fresh, filtered water all the time rather than having to constantly refill the pitcher. I think you will really like that solution.

Hello, We don’t have any type of filtration system.
Whether it be the pitcher, on the faucet or on the outside of the refrigerator. I would enjoy winning a Brita faucet filtration device for our family. My youngest drinks most of his water from the tap~!
A water bottle would be fun, also. Please enter me in your drawing. Much appreciation…..Cindi

What a great prize. I’m trying to cut down on the bottled water that I buy so this would be great!

Wow! What a generous giveaway! Our water sometimes has the sulfur smell to it, so I am just funny about drinking it! We have just been buying bottled water for drinking water, but this would be so much more eco-friendly and convenient! Thanks for such an awesome giveaway…I’ll be keeping my fingers (and toes!) crossed! :) Take Care!

I am so happy that Brita and Nalgene took on this challenge to inform everyone just how much we do waste and how much can be prevented. KUDOS to them.

    Hey Kristen,

So remember the bracelet give away you did back in the beginning of the year? A complaint free world and it was purple. Anyways, so I wore it for MORE than a month actually and I could tell a difference in the amount of complaining I did. But even better than that…my six year old nephew has pretty much hijacked it. He thought it was totally cool that he could get a “gift” just by NOT complaining about every little thing. Sometimes he will just randomly ask me if I’ve been complaining and it’s freaking hilarious. I asked him to join me in dropping the really bad habit and I’m so glad I did. I honestly cannot even remember the last time he complained about bed time or homework time or “not wanting TAP water” or not being able to watch Disney.

I want to give them to EVERYONE I know because just having that little reminder works miracles.

    I hope I win!

Nice! I would love a water filtration system. We used to have one years ago but it broke and we never got another one. Just think of how many plastic water bottles I could stop buying and throwing in the garbage! (I just told on myself, didn’t I?) :)

Yay, what a great thing to give away. And I like your lively video too! I haven’t tried one of these in years since I use a pitcher, but this might be interesting too.

Kristen! Pick meeeeeee! We have a brita pitcher, but a faucet filtrator would be cooler. I think I’m making up words.
