Chewable Vitamins Aren’t Just for Kids

by Kristen King on April 3rd, 2008

For me, taking my vitamins is a daily struggle. I just hate swallowing pills. So finally, I broke down and bought children’s chewable dinosaur vitamins. And you know, they’re not half bad! The nutrition information even has a serving size for adults, so apparently I’m not the only one with this problem. One full dino, in tasty fruit flavors, gives me 100% or more of all of my critical vitamins, and makes me feel like I’m doing something good for my body — which I am.

Admittedly, the Centrum vitamins in this picture are probably a little more grown up, but who cares? I bet they don’t taste as good as mine, and no way are they as cute.

What multivitamin do you take?

I take two Flintstones a day. After I complained to my OB about the cost of the prenatal vitamins she had prescribed she said “you don’t have to take them just take 2 flintstones, as long as they have folic acid.” Works for me. They are cheaper and easier on my stomach. The gummie vitamins my kids like are nasty though. They like them so I guess that’s all that matters.

I never thought about taking kids vitamins before! I can’t swallow pills that are at all very big. I take the one a day essential though, because they aren’t that big. I might switch to the children’s though.
