Don't Believe the Hype About These FoodsAccording to CNN Health, these 5 food have been maligned. Who would have thunk?

  • Red meat

    • Why it’s good: Lots of protein
    • How to eat it: Lean cuts
  • Ice cream

    • Why it’s good: Calcium and a compound called conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) that may aid in weight loss
    • How to eat it: A small serving of full-fat ice cream, yogurt, cheese, or milk every day
  • Eggs

    • Why they’re good: Lots of protein
    • How to eat them: For breakfast (don’t fry them in butter or smother them with fatty toppings like tons of cheese) or on a salad (hard boiled of course)
  • Pizza

    • Why it’s good: Full of fiber, protein, and veggies
    • How to eat it: Whole wheat crust, thin crust, lean meats and veggies on top
  • Canadian bacon

    • Why it’s good: It has all the taste and a third of the fat of regular bacon.
    • How to eat it: Breakfast, in a BLT (to replace the bacon), in strips on a salad
