Sushi Is Tasty, but Raw Foods Can Contain Parasites
Sushi is delicious, generally low in fat, and loaded with protein. But eating it comes with some risks, too, because like other raw or undercooked meats, fish can contain parasites that may make humans sick after consumption.
Based on reports from the American College of Gasteroenterology, the Washington Post recently advised sushi lovers to keep physicians informed of recent sushi consumption if afflicted with gastrointestinal problems, as parasites could be the cause.
