What’s the Right Workout for You?

What Workout Is Right for You?I’m still trying to figure out the answer to this question (though I’m tempted to say that the “sitting on my butt in front of the computer all day” workout is the perfect fit). So when I came across this fun quiz from iVillage, I figured, hey, what the heck?

Here are my results:

Mind-Body Guru

You’re a deeply contemplative person who enjoys activities that allow you to be quiet and look inward. Long-distance running, swimming and biking will enable you to escape the everyday chatter of email and cell phones and leave you feeling refreshed and ready to return to the real world. Eastern-based pursuits like yoga, tai chi, judo and karate will also be great for you, since they take a spiritual approach to the body. Essentially, you’re looking for a workout that will cool you down rather than rev you up.

    Mind-Body Guru, too. And swimming is definitely my favorite exercise — kind of like yoga but underwater, where you don’t have to talk to anyone. Soooooo sad to say goodbye to summer and my regular swims at the local pool.

    I love swimming and walking- dance class occasionally, yoga comes and goes - usually a year on and then a year off - but boy when i got my bike out agian to ride with the kids (after I could stop pulling and pushing them around) I was all wobbly - that was a very strange feeling.
