American Idol Interlude: Bye Bye, Haley!
NOTE: I’ve been trying to post this since last week. Mmm, technology issues…
Of course I would have been much happier if Sanjaya (who actually didn’t suck this week) was the one leaving, but Haley is second best, so I’m still pleased with this week’s results. She’s a cute girl (and does she have gorgeous legs, or what???), but she just doesn’t have the voice. BUT, I have to give her huge props for doing an awesome job with her farewell performance. A lot of contestants kind of fizzle, but she performed the heck out of it, and I think that alone impressed me more than anything else she’s done this season. It wasn’t her best performace, but she walked off that stage with class and showmanship, and that’s something to be proud of.
So who do you think is going down next week? My money’s on Phil Stacey, who, frankly, kind of creeps me out.
And does this week’s performance mean that we’ll be seeing a turnaround from Sanjaya (whose hair looks MUCH better now)? I’m wondering… Maybe he’s been terrible on purpose to get the VFTW vote, and now he’s going to bust out the big guns?
