Whole-Grain Cereals Promote Heart Health
New research shows that men who consume seven or more servings of whole-grain cereals each week have a marked decrease in risk of heart failure compared with men who didn’t eat whole grain cereals, even when other risk factors were present.
The study followed 20,000+ men over an 18-year period to reach its conclusions, which were presented at the American Heart Association’s 47th Annual Conference on Cardiovascular Disease Epidemiology and Prevention earlier this month.
Now yes, the study followed male subjects, but that doesn’t mean we ladies can’t benefit from the results. Take a look at the top 10 healthy breakfast cereals and learn more about how oatmeal and Cheerios can contribute to your heart health.
