Have You Felt Your Boobies Lately?
I found Feel Your Boobies by accident this week, and I’m so glad I did. They’re an organization dedicated to raising awareness about the value of breast self-exams in early breast cancer detection. It’s serious stuff, but they try to keep it fun. And although Feel Your Boobies is aimed at a younger crowd (women in their 40s), the information is solid and the message is beyond important.
If you’re not sure how to do a breast self-exam, make an appointment with your OB/GYN right away, and take a look at this excellent instructional tool* from the Susan G. Komen Foundation. (And for the tool in Spanish, click here.)
* Note that the tool has a video component with a real person demonstrating a breast self-exam, so you don’t want to click on this at work. Well, maybe you do, but I’d advise against it.
