Cut Fat, Add Flavor: Making “Good for You” Taste Good

And adding flavor to your foods is more than just tasty — it’s actually really good for you, says Suzanna Zick, a University of Michigan Health System researcher:

“Adding herbs and spices can help you maintain a healthy weight. Plus, they can help prevent certain cancers, and even lower blood pressure, control blood sugar and improve cardiovascular health,” Zick said in a prepared statement.

She offers 10 tips for selecting healthy spices.
