You Know When You Were Born, But Do You Know How Old You Really Are?
I’ll be 25 in a month and a half, and it got me thinking about the whole concept of age. Sure, I know when I was born (March 1982, if you’re mathematically challenged, like I am), but is my body aging at the same rate the calendar tells me?
That’s why I decided to find out my “real age,” by going through the total health survey over at RealAge.com. It takes 10 or 15 minutes to go through all of the questions, and the results aren’t instantaneous, but it might be worth it to get an idea of what facets of your lifestyle may be taking more of a toll that your realize — and which ones are keeping you young.
Here are my results:
Calendar Age
24.9Difference
+1.2My RealAge
26.1
Hmm… Must be time to make some changes! I just printed out my personal recommendations, based on my responses to the test questions. I’ll keep you posted on the changes I decide to make. (And I have a feeling eating more soy and less red meat will be among them!)
Take the RealAge test here, and post your results in the comments.

[…] Research reported in January 2007 suggests that the age of your cells, not your calendar age, is what may best indicate your risk of heart attack and heart disease.
