French Press Coffee Maker
A few months ago, a friend of ours from French-speaking West Africa gave us a French Press to make coffee. I’d never used one before, so we had to read the directions and follow them exactly.
The coffee tasted great, and now we’re hooked! I’ve heard that European coffee is much stronger than American coffee, and whew! I can tell a major difference. If you’re looking for a gift for someone, these are inexpensive and fun. (Ours came from Target.)
When I was a sophomore in college, I was an exchange student for one month to France. I stayed with a French family, who treated me to their breakfast coffee — served in a cereal bowl! I’d never had such a huge amount of coffee, and so I’m sure I bounced off the ceiling from all that caffeine. Maybe that’s why I like this French Press so much!

Oh, yes. The one and ONLY time I ever had coffee in a cereal bowl, I spent the rest of the day wondering why my heart was racing. lol
