Quick Tip for Preventing Injuries
I had another physical therapy session this morning for my knee, and once again, I’m reminded of the importance of preventing injuries. In fact, the other day, I moved some heavy boxes around, and now my lower back is aching. This could have been prevented if I’d taken a few minutes to stretch out.
Staying flexible is one of the key ways to prevent injuries. When you get out of bed in the morning, take a few minutes and stretch your muscles. Reaching down to touch your toes, for example, can warm up your back muscles and help prevent back injury. And limbering up your quads and calves may help you feel more stable and less likely to fall.
Anyone have any tips on preventing carpal tunnel syndrome? Maybe we should all put on some upbeat music and flex our … wrists. Let’s get moving, people.
