Taking the Health Journey Together
I read a great quote today in a speech by Patty Stonesifer, CEO of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. She was addressing UNICEF and mentioned an old African proverb:
If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.
That idea has stuck with me all day today, as I’m trying to make changes in living a healthier lifestyle. I’m trying to surround myself with people who are also on a “journey of healthy living.” I certainly seem to be in good company with the other b5 media bloggers in the Science & Health channel. In promoting good health together, we’ll all go much farther than if we were attempting to do it on our own.
