Welcome to Lively Women

A lifelong passion for wellness. That’s what I wrote about myself in my b5 media profile. It’s true. I’m always longing for that place where I feel healthy. Joyful, some people call it. Do you ever have a moment where life is so rich and full that you feel like your insides are all smiling? What caused you to feel that way? You can share it with us here at “Lively Women.”
I want this blog to build a community of women who are alive, in every sense of the word. Hey, you guys are welcome too – If you’re not a woman, then at least your life is most likely impacted by at least one of us. What is it that makes women feel complete and lively?
Being healthy is not just physical — our bodies can be in perfect physical shape and yet we may still have the blues. It’s a total package kind of thing – our body, mind, and spirit aren’t independent of each other. They work together — and when we make choices that are good for us, we’ll meet our goals for wellness.
I’m not a doctor, nor a nutritionist. I’m also not a psychologist, a psychiatrist, a counselor or even a preacher. I’m just a woman who’s made it through a few life experiences — pregnancies and labors, postpartum recovery and depression, chronic fatigue — and now my ongoing struggle of trying to carve out time to take care of myself in the midst of my maxed-out, too-much-energy-required lifestyle.
Along the way, I’ve discovered a woman needs four things for good physical health:
- Eat a good diet.
- Drink plenty of water.
- Get adequate rest.
- Exercise regularly.
Seems simple — the trick is finding the right balance with everything else we have going on in our lives. Here’s my invitation asking you to join us as we explore the field of women’s wellness.

Great introduction!
And I love the little disclaimer. Now we know you’re just a woman on a mission.
